Budapest, Hungary

"Despite spectacular development, Budapest has preserved its old charm and magic. It is a city where the pleasing harmony of different architectural styles and superb structures, the cafés, baths, the food and culture, combined with legendary hospitality blend into an unforgettable experience for visitors..."

I'm off to see some of this old charm and magic for myself (and to get another stamp in my passport!)...hopefully I will not freeze to death in the process.
Anyone speak Hungarian?

Did you know that the state dept. makes you get a whole new passport if you get married and change your name? I am going to lose all my stamps. :(

I think you should go for the spiciest goulash possible -- to try to fight the cold.

rachel - did you know the state dept makes you get a whole new passport if you wash (and dry) yours in your pocket and cause the photo page to unravel & detach from the cover. they are so picky - keep saying something about it being "destroyed". go figure.

Ahh, the joys of Hungary, I can say "Hungary" in Hungarian, that about it. The next closest I can get is saying Hungary, gulash, or Hungarian is Czech. Glad it was an enjoyable trip!
